In 2005 my own healing journey led me to EFT. During my mid-twenties my childhood trauma had come back to haunt me. I was suffering from the emergence of severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. My PTSD came in the form of terrifying episodes in which I was unable to speak, recognize the people around me, or identify what period of my life I was in. I had frequent self directed violent rages, the loss of the ability to have intimate sexual relationships, and constant anxiety. All of this was accompanied with the attempt to self medicate with drugs and alcohol. I struggled this way for years until the realization came to me that I was not going to make it much longer, and I certainly was not going to be able to build the life I wanted, unless I made some very big changes.
I had no idea how to set about restoring myself. In fact, I was pretty uncertain that I would be able to. I had already spent my life in talk therapy since the age of four. By the grace of Spirit I was introduced to EFT by a neighbor. She recommended that I try it with a practitioner that she knew and began working with my first EFT teacher, Sonya Sophia Illig. I had never heard of EFT before and I had no understanding of how it worked. I was willing to do anything to gain control of my life and after my first session I knew something, although I wasn’t sure what, was changing. I was sold. I began coming to weekly group EFT sessions and working one-on-one once a week. My life began to change rapidly. Five months later I was ready to make the leap to sobriety and I released my addictions permanently. Over that first year of working with EFT I had not only regained my stability, but I had a completely different relationship with myself and a new orientation to life, love, and relationships.
That journey lead me to an expanded capacity to facilitate the healing process for others. Guiding is a great honor, joy, and even fun for me. I began teaching EFT professionally in early 2007. I am certified as an Advanced Practitioner through both EFT Universe and by Sonya Sophia Illig, Master Practitioner. I studied Spiritual Psychology at the University of Santa Monica and I have been a participating Landmark Education graduate since 2007. I have a background in the practice and study of magical arts, shamanism, and esoterica. I am also involved with establishing The Sophia School of Living Arts. I have been holding EFT circles for years in homes, healing temples, and as a guest during many spiritual intensives. My heart is particularly called to work with people who have experienced sexual trauma and LBGTQ individuals.
I am located in the heart of San Francisco, at The Healing Sanctuary in the Lower Haight on 546 Fillmore Street. I look forward to meeting you and walking with you on your own healing journey.
With Love and In Service,
